1. Our client relationship philosophy
· Always be honest. · Meet their deadlines. · No surprises. · Tell them when we can’t do the work (and help them find someone who can). · If we are unsure about something, ask. · Make our answers straightforward and understandable. · Make sure the work met their needs. If it didn’t, fix it.
· Allegiance – a client needs to have confidence that their advisor is working for them and looking out for their best interest. · Comprehension – the consultant must be able to understand the situation and the issues presented by the client. If you don’t understand the problem, you can’t help them find a solution. · Analytical – The consulting firm must be able to perform the comprehensive analysis required to understand the alternative and find a solution. · Communication – The consultant needs to be able to communicate the results in a simple straightforward way, focusing on the concerns of the client. 3. Our Services
· Actuarial Services – We are a full services actuarial consulting firm. We can perform actuarial valuations, experience analyses, forecasts (both stochastic and deterministic), retiree medical valuations, determining the cost of changes in plan provisions, assumptions or methods, calculation of benefits, development of DROPs, or most anything that requires manipulation of large quantities of numbers. · Communications Services – We can assist in the development and preparation of communication material for plan members. · Development Assistance – We are not programmers. We do have experience in developing material for use in websites and updating simple calculation software. · Compliance Assistance – Our team has experience with a variety of compliance issues. This can range from assistance drafting legislation or plan regulations to a full compliance audit. · Educational Workshops – We develop and deliver customized educational workshops that help trustees and staff better understand the actuarial process and develop policies to implement their goals.

team consists of members with multiple professional accreditations, including
Fellows in the Society of Actuaries, Certified Financial Analysts and Certified

understand the short and long term impact of changes on your retirement system. · We make this stuff understandable. More than anything else, we pride ourselves on our ability to take all the complexity and create a simple, clear picture for our clients to discuss and deal with. We are not saying that you will always like the answers you will hear from us, but you will understand them. · We work for you. Our focus is on serving our clients. We do not have a bunch of extraneous services that we will try to sell you, or affiliates that we will try to get you to hire. We will design our reports to meet your needs and our timelines to meet your schedules. · We focus on the public sector. Our firm serves clients in the public sector. That is all we do. Our actuaries have spent many years serving public retirement systems across the United States. We keep track of events that affect public retirement systems. We participate in conferences and organizations educating the public sector. We eat, sleep and dream public retirement systems. · We enjoy our work. While we are serious, dedicated professionals who make sure that the results are correct; we believe that we can have fun while doing that.
